It was an early start for the fashion pack attending Betty Jackson's Autumn Winter 2010 collection. As the first model hit the catwalk we knew it was worth it, yet again Jackson had produced a remarkable showcase of her undeniable talent and creativity. Betty Jackson states that she looked east for inspiration incorporating religion with islamic arts shown in the soft, loose leathers used throughout the collection. A traditional English autumn was expressed down the runway with a colour palette of earthy greens, subtle blues with custard yellow twisted with a mix of teals and blacks. A masculine impression was apparent throughout the show with heavy jackets, corduroy cropped pants along with practical pencil skirts and short sleeved sweaters. A sense of warmth and charm was delivered with the sheepskin coats and shawls paired with thick knitted jumpers and colourful accessories. Betty Jackson's charisma and personality definitely continued into this collection. This blended with the eastern influences which were prominent throughout, created one of the best collections Jackson has shown in a long time. - Alison James
