The PPQ S/S2010 show was one to remember, a bold attempt at Caribbean and Aztec influences blended with PPQ’s signature attitude and style. This collection is simply like a tropical smoothie of delights. The colour palette consisted of delicate peaches, tropical fuchsias, candy cane pinks and a colossal dose of monochrome. The black and white creating a stark contrast to the tropical feel of the whole collection. Garments ranged from knee length bandeau dresses with oversized corsages, right through to show-stopping maxi dresses slashed to the thigh. Our favourite from the whole collection had to be the two piece consisting of high waisted, translucent peach trousers along with a seriously structured crop-top with twisted design detail. Simple yet beautifully contrasting. The deadly duo's flirtation with sportswear giant Adidas also featured, with PPQ showcasing an eye-catching monochrome jumper dress, among other pieces, which were displayed again at the signature PPQ party. The Adidas contribution to the collection typically brought an influence from sportswear which contrasted PPQ's bold attitude, creating some unique and creative garments. As usual, PPQ cemented themselves as one of our London Fashion Week favourites. We simply can't wait to see what they come up with next season!
